Do you believe in revenge?

  Honestly, I do, some people need to be put in their place, but they do say it's "best served cold" for a reason. If you have ever played any online game with a MOBA-style fanbase (examples: LoL, DotA, Awesomenauts, WoW, CoD, any extraction shooter really, Rust), then you will know that you need a certain mindset when you hit back at people wronging you, and it's not the anger-filled revenge mindset. If you go at it with revenge in your heart, you will not only settle yourself into the same negative emotion space they are in (i.e, letting them hurt you emotionally), but you will also likely prolong that interaction and, in the worst case, even give them what they want. You either play the long game by going through the proper administrative/legal channels to get back at them long-term, or you emotionally detach yourself and begin trolling, which is something that can work surprisingly well in real life situations too, as long as you are ready for people to punch you. Getting revenge while not making yourself look like an arse too is an art form though and most of the time, it's better to just walk away and find solace in the fact that, even though you did nothing, you won in the court of public opinion.

  In my experience it does not work in the pure self-gratifying approach, at least not at making you feel better as you have to keep justifying the revenge act afterwards or give up and feel bad about it. It does work as a kind of self defence against someone actively refusing to respect your request to stop acting on a pattern of action that causes you harm, if you explain why you took revenge before or while the action you detest is being done against you, that seems to get the meaning across, also it has be proportionate, such that the revenge is less egregious than the acts taken by the instegator and in a manner you can live with the resulting harm given to another person for a long period of time as the alternative of doing nothing brings a worse outcome.

  Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If somebody wrongs you for a one time thing, probably best to let it go. If there is a risk that wont be the case, feels like you have to take some sort of action against that.

  I think it's best not to seek revenge. But if someone I loved were taken from me... I'm not sure I'd still be able to think the same way.

  I believe in it in that I believe it exists, but I have never suffered an injury where I felt avenging myself was needed. Unless you believe emojis can be revenge in which case I avenged myself upon my middle school ex-boyfriend.
