I’ve been haunted for fifteen years in my dreams by John Carpenter’s The Thing and once I lucid dreamed as it was happening. I pulled an entire trombone out of my pocket cartoon style, and when I played it, flames shot forth from the instrument and burned the creature.

A few times. But it lasts for but a short moment. Usually when I realise that I'm dreaming, I wake up soon afterwards.
