Wuthering Heights 嵐が丘 Although I knew there were romantic elements in the story, I found the fact that everyone is awful more fun. It also reminded me a lot of the visual novel Umineko (うみねこのなく頃に).

depends really on what the recommendation is for. just off the top of my head: if u want something feel good and easy to read, but also thought provoking: The Girl Who Drank the Moon fun reads: Ella Enchanted - although I enjoyed this as an audiobook Howl's Moving Castle - actually i turned to audiobook for a good part of this too The House in the Cerulean Sea - might be too saccharine depending on your taste, but its leveled throughout. It's not like just some parts suddenly being cheesy that would've been cringe. non-fiction but prolly not beginner friendly: How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman

I don't read books but short stories from various translators. Almost all of 'em are Japanese Literature. Mainly in Post-war Era, some from Meiji Restoration, some from pre-war, some from the modern era.

depends... if you want something feel good, Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine if you're in a reading slump and a bit of action would pick you up, Vicious by V.E. Schwab. Reading it felt like watching a TV action-fantasy series. want classics? The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery But if I have to recommend just one book, then How to Read a Book by Mortimer Adler. You're set whatever you read next. 👌

the alchemist by paulo coelho - it's about a shepherd that travels to the pyramids of egypt to find a treasure but is actually a tale of self discovery... 10/10 would definitely reccomend to anyone that reads :)))
