CGI = computer-generated image or imagery CGIとはコンピューターによって生成されたイメージのことをいいます。映画においてのCGIの動物というと、多くの場合は緑のタイツを被った人間が動物の動きを演じ、撮影データをCG処理して動物にみせているケースが多いそうです。

Depends on the animal. If its used because its difficult to use the animal for acting while treating it well at the same time, best to use CGI
